APPLE IIE PERSONAL COMPUTER SYSTEM

The release of Apple IIe is January 1983, but this catalog was published in November, Since Apple Fast was held in San Francisco in November 1982 and there are records that about 5,000 items were exhibited, it may have been produced according to this timing. In this catalog there is no description of technical specification numbers, each page shoots the scene where the user is using Apple IIe, introduces it, and has a commentary on it. It is very beautiful. There is also a specification called System Data Sheet printed in September, 1982, which shows that Apple has advertised the new Apple II with some emphasis before launch.

US letter size, 12 pages, published in November, 82.

LISA SYSTEM HARDWARE

Lisa's system hardware catalog. All 4 pages. Lisa's release is January 1983. The price at the time of release was $ 10,000 (about 2.4 million yen at that time rate). The one-button mouse control, the six different software bundles, the design, the hardware design with superior maintenance, etc. Lisa's concept was wonderful. This catalog is in English, which was published in May of 1983. It is a picture with a slightly stronger contrast, but it has been taken at an angle that fully expresses the charm of Lisa. The facing pages are hardware introductions, and the back cover is described with hardware specifications. The press conference was held at Hotel Okura in Tokyo, where Lisa was demonstrated on 8th May of the same year. Formal release of Lisa is June 21. US., UK, Europe, and Canada are listed in Apple's contact information on the back cover of this catalog and it is unlikely that Japan is not available.

US letter size, published in May 1983.

LISA カタログ

Japanese version of Lisa catalog. On the back cover, along with Apple Computer Japan, the name of ESD Laboratory is printed as the selling source. Issued November 1983. All 8 pages. At that time, Apple Japan deepened the partnership relationship with Canon sales, and since December the same year Canon sales also started selling Lisa on a small scale. This is a catalog of such period. The person on the front cover is a mystery, but there is a commercial called "1983" that advertises Lisa, which is attached to the CD of 20th anniversary Macintosh as a mov. File. This "1983" starring was a person very similar to Steve Jobs, I thought that I was Jobs, but at one time I was told that he seemed to be Kevin Costner by Mr. Y. If this theory is correct, the person on this cover will also be Kevin Costner.
According to the price table at the same time, it is 2,280,000 yen in the set of main body, HD, Printer, accessory kit, Lisa Office System.

A4 size, published in November, 1983.

APPLE BUYER'S GUIDE WINTER 1984

Buyer's Guide for Apple II and Apple III. It seems that it was sold at Apple's dealer priced at US $ 3.00. It was published in October 1983, and more than 100 pages of Apple's genuine software, peripherals etc. are introduced in detail with photos. It became very helpful for knowing genuine hardware and software at that time.
At the end of the guidebook, a large number of pages are allocated and a corresponding hardware configuration table of each software is attached. Since Apple IIe and Lisa were released in January in 1983, the lineup of products increased, so even with genuine software, the connect ability was case by case with the necessary memory, language card, 80-digit display card and necessity of display, connectable printers. It seems to be a necessity to arrange correspondence because many kind of hardware was mixed.
The cover page is a male silhouette with the front of Apple III. There are several cuts of monochrome pictures taken with backlight of hardware and people in the text. As the photo of the above Lisa catalog is similar composition, it seems that it was a designer's favorite at that time. The name of the staff engaged in the creation is written in this book, and the design is with Gary Maddocks. In the catalog of this era, the atmosphere of the logo and design used is unique, so Apple III's team may have edited this booklet.

US letter size, published in October 1983, 114 pages, A7L0001 CSR 171000.

APPLE IIC Brochure
THE APPLE IIc

A Japanese version catalog of Apple IIc released in April 1984. Publisher is Canon Sales Co., Ltd. It covers a mysterious woman who does not show the face used in manuals and outer boxes. In the editing that emphasized the image, such as using the picture of the main body taken from the top of IIc for the double-page spread, there is description that "the body is the design of German designer Hartmut Esslinger". Unlike ordinary ones (see IIc mouse), the IIc mouse used here has // logo next to Apple mark. (It is unknown whether or not it was actually sold.) The catalog has a rubber stamp of Canon 01 Shop in Shinbashi Tokyo, which is no longer in existence. In the vicinity of Tamura cho in Shimbashi in 1985, Canon 01 shop and Media Sales Japan faced Hibiya Street almost in a face to face and it was an indispensable place for gathering information using lunch break. A4 version, 6 pages, published in 1984 (estimated).

"The Apple II c"Almost on the same cover, there is a catalog of English titled "The Apple II c". Contents, unlike Japanese version, explain the use of IIc in the fields of home, business, and education as a concept of people and computers as a photographic magazine. It is a beautiful catalog.
