THE MAC BATHROOM READER With MACINTOSH with love （Japanese　Version） APPLE CONFIDENTIAL APPLE CONFIDENTIAL アップルコンフィデンシャル Apple Confidential （Japanese Version） 表紙の写真でもわかる通り、バスルームのトイレに腰掛けて読むアップル社の２０年史。As you can see in the photo on the front cover, this is the book to read Apple’s 20 - year history of sitting on the bathroom toilet. なるほどと思えるエピソードを満載している。 For example, the relationship between Apple and Microsoft over Applesoft Basic etc. this book contains full of episodes that seem to be true. また、この提携がのちのDonn Denmann作成のMacBasicを葬りさることになることなどが語られて興味深い。Also, it is interesting to tell that this partnership will burst MacBasic created by Donn Denmann. 余談であるが、発売されなかったMacBasicには、OsborneMcGraw-hill社にUsing Macintosh Basic ( Richard Norling著 )という解説本まであり、ソフトの発売中止が直前だったことをうかがわせる。 As an aside, for MacBasic that was not released, Osborne McGraw-hill has an explanation book called Using Macintosh Basic (written by Richard Norling), which shows that the release of software was just before the release. Apple Confidentialは1999年にThe Mac Bathroom Readerをベースにそれ以降のApple社にまつわる話を加えて、レイアウトの変更を行い新しいタイトルで発刊されたもの。Apple Confidential was based on The Mac Bathroom Reader in 1999, added stories related to Apple after that, changed the layout, and was published with a new title. 邦訳もアスキー出版局から発売されている。 Japanese translation is also on sale from ASCII publishing Bureau. 互換機、Newton、BeBoxと BeOS、iMac、Jobsの復帰などApple社をめぐる近況が紹介されている。 Such as compatible machine, Newton, BeBox and BeOS, iMac, recovery of Jobs and the recent status of Apple are being introduced.
