Bell & Howell AppleII Plus-1

Bell & Howell AppleII Plus

Apple II Plus specially made by Apple for Bell & Howell, famous for audio equipment such as 8 mm video camera. There are two kinds of models of which early term type (the same model as normal II Plus) and late model.

BH FRONT LOGO

There is a logo of MADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR BELL & HOWELL BY apple computer Inc. on the front name plate. It shows the close relationship between BH and Apple at these times. Also known as the Darth Vader Model.

INSIDE BH APPLE II PLUS(Early Model)

Early model was basically the same model as Apple II Plus announced in autumn 1979. This machine was handed over from California programmers at the end of 1995. It was kept lucky for nearly 10 years in the closet of the former owner. According to the former owner, purchased from a friend (a member of Softball) in 1979. If his memory is correct, it will be that the model existed from the beginning of Plus release. Original box, with manual. The box belongs to ordinary II Plus, and it is stamped with B & H, 48 K unseemly. At that time, B & H Corp. had AUDIO-VISUAL PRODUCTS DIVISION in Chicago, it seems that BH was targeting the education market mainly in the eastern district of US.

BH APPLE II PLUS(Lator Revision)

It was released in the summer of 1981. It has an audio part integrated with the handle on the back panel. It is AV specification equipped with audio input 3, BNC video output 2, headphone terminal, AUX power supply terminal 3. The terminal of the game paddle is not internally like a normal machine, but is connected to the side with the DIN terminal.

Different from Apple's usual product, I receive a heavy duty impression of the audio portion, it seems that it designed and manufactured by Bell & Howell. I purchased this machine that was released from school things.
