IN CIDER

First published in 1983. Merging with A + magazine in 1989, it becomes inCiderA + magazine. Picture is Premiere Issue (1983.JAN). There are also relatively hard-liner articles such as making interface of pH densitometer using Apple II, transferring software from TRS-80, and hints on using Apple Graphic Tablet. Apple has an advertisement called Inside Apple in a double-page spread, introducing the second-generation printers Apple Dot Matrix Printer and Apple Letter Quality Printer, Joystick, Gamepad, Profile, Ten Keyboard and others. Published by 1001001 Inc.

A+

First published in 1983. Because I do not own this magazine at the time of its launch, the editing policy at the time is not certain, but software and hardware review are the focus and few articles in programming. The photograph is the issue of May 1988 described in detail the Workstation Card, the network using the Apple II, not only AppleShare, but also the performance and price of the network such as Omninet, Elan, Vnet, Classroom Network, Dnet etc. it is a good reference to know the network. For the two page spread advertisements, attractive software and hardware until now are introduced such as GEOS (Berkeley Softworks) which realizes Macintosh like environment using mouse with Apple II, Roommate speaker in advertisement of Bose and so on. Published by ZIFF-DAVIS PUBLISHING COMPANY.

INCIDER A+

InCider magazine and A + magazine merged in 1989, becoming InCider A + magazine. The whole image such as the front cover leaves the side of A + magazine, but the total number of the magazine is continuous from InCider magazine. Since editors etc. are quite different, it seems that it was started by gathering new staff. Since 1991 it finally began to handle not only Apple II but also Macintosh articles, subtitle has changed from The Apple II Magazine to Apple II / Macintosh. The photo is December 1991. There are 150 introductions of new products as a final outcome of 1991, articles introducing Macintosh System 6, etc. InCider A + magazine was abandoned at the end of June 1993 issue. Published by IDG Communications.

NIBBLE

First published in 1979. Mainly on software production articles. Explanation and source list of various programs using BASIC, assembler, PASCAL etc. are posted. The photo is the March 1985 issue. As you can see on the cover page, article on home medical database using Basic is featured. Other list of Tiny Compiler that improves the speed of Basic and review of Smooth Talker for Macintosh etc. Every month, it seems that readers could purchase the source of the main article on the diskette. There is also Nibble Express which contains main articles, and it has been published up to Vol. 5 at that time. I can enjoy the cover illustration of each issue. Published MicroSPARC.Inc.
